My name is Breanna Losey, I am an Apprentice Tattoo Artist at Black Heart Tattoo & Gallery, driven by a passion for storytelling through art. I still remember the first time art made me feel something. I watched my step mom paint on a wooden paddle board a warm nostalgic river scene with a deck, trees, and mountains. I saw how only shapes and colors can trick the mind into believing whatever we tell it to, and feel emotions we didn't know we had. I have always created art for others rather than myself, art didnt give me as much satisfaction when I didn't share it. I have a deep appreciation for vintage children's books and Renaissance-era paintings and sketches, and I strive to capture the same sense of depth and meaning in my work. To me, tattooing is more than just ink on skin—it's a form of permanent fashion that allows me to connect with others and leave a lasting impression through creative expression.
